The managing director of Access Advocacy is Anna Sőrman who brings extensive experience from working in healthcare, globally and in the UK, across a range of therapy areas.
Anna takes particular interest in strategies that shape policy and result in access to optimal treatment and improved outcomes for patients. She has devised and delivered a range of campaign programmes, such as: Postcode Prescribing and the Lottery of Cancer Care; DVT prophylaxis recommendations (with Lifeblood, the Thrombosis Charity); the first Cancer Campaigning Coalitions in England and Scotland; a Healthcare-Associated Infection Partners Group with Calls for Action; numerous International Study Group Programmes in the US and Scandinavia; and effective lobbying of NICE with patient groups, parliamentarians and clinicians.
Anna has a First degree in Zoology, a PhD in Physiology and Biochemistry and a Diploma in Health Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.
